Well here we are approaching the end of another year…. for some reason they seem be flying past, quicker, almost as if when we blink another week, then a month passes!
I’m a believer that everything that happens, does so for a reason, whether it’s created by our dominant thoughts or karma (which basically is our thoughts/actions coming back to us with a delay, often when we’ve forgotten!) Karma often gets a bad name and yet we are creating this with our thoughts and deeds all the time. So in this festive month of December if you can stay grounded whilst the frenetic energy and build up of Christmas is going on around you and create some good thoughts and Karma you’re effectively creating your next step, your next year.

As always I use the beauty of the changing seasons and in my journeys into Wexford and New Ross I’ve noticed an abundance of beautiful red berries. As I’ve mentioned before red is a great colour to focus on for strength, energy and to keep you grounded when you notice your thoughts are scattered; it’s mainly Hawthorn which in itself is a protective tree with great healing properties, a herbalist friend says the berries make a great tonic. So breathe in the red energy, wear the colour to energise, and carry the crystals for grounding, circulation whilst helping to move forward into the new year. Interestingly in Chinese culture red symbolises, wealth and good fortune too!
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_single_image image=”13603″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Christmas is traditionally a time of giving thanks and celebration, and by remembering to be kind to ourselves and others at this often very stressful time, is helping align us with more positivity and better outcomes ahead of us. A useful crystal to carry or wear is rose quartz, as it promotes peace and love; in our homes placing a large focal piece creates serenity and harmony. If you’re lucky enough to find some small points you can use them either around your bath (as previously mentioned with clear quartz) or place in the corners of a room with points pointing inwards setting the intention to bring love, peace and harmony into that space. You can try it with tumbled pieces although the energy isn’t as direct. If you shower then placing some in a small net bag allowing the water to pour through is another way of clearing your aura and surrounding yourself with love. It’s also purported to clear rashes and smooth skin if you add it to filtered water and drink.
I trust you all create a beautiful space for yourselves this month, with time to look back and appreciate how far, how well you have done, which then assists in creating a great space in which to welcome in the new year. NAMASTE. (The spirit in me honours the spirit in you).

Hello everyone! I ventured into Wexford and of course had to browse my favourite shop. I love picking up the
organic groceries with less packaging from Only Natural and a visit wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the crystal corner! What caught my eye was the beautiful clusters and colours reflected in these and a beautiful labradorite heart. Colour is something that is important to all of us as we absorb the different colours energetically. I’m very drawn to red at the present, which is a warming colour, it stimulates our base chakra, helps with circulation and of course keeps us grounded! Very important as we head towards Christmas, so often a very stressful time for some. So if you’re affected by the buzz that’s starting as we head into November, carrying red crystals will help you maintain warmth as well as keep you focused. Red jasper is good if you’re finding the change to the colder darker days difficult as it assists in keeping us balanced when facing change. I love the colour of the trees at present, using the reds, yellows and oranges to balance my lower chakras.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
As I drive in I breathe in the glorious colours. I mentioned red garnet last month for creating fire, passion. This can help with your mojo if the winter months make you want to hibernate. Now back to the beautiful specimens of labradorite… they hold the energy of the colours that shine out of them, as well as dispelling misdirected negative energy (good if you’re very sensitive to the energy of others) although they can look dark their energy is higher vibration and can stimulate dreamtime. I personally love the energy, I find it soothing. It may be that you’re drawn to different colours, and this may be your inner knowing (subsconscious) trying to balance your energy system, when we pay attention, it assists in keeping us happy, healthy and balanced, so breathe in those colours or carry a tumbled crystal. Next month I’ll enlighten you about the benefit of crystal clusters, perfect gifts for Christmas!

So here we are again! The nights draw in and the temperature drops, nature starts to prepare for the winter months. We too can make preparations for the darker times.
If you tend to feel the cold as I do carrying a red garnet helps keep your inner fire burning, it helps bring passion into our days, coupling it with some chevron amethyst and a positive intention assists in achieving goals and dreams. Holding hematite brings the circulation back to cold hands and feet.
I love the brighter lighter days, and as autumn brings the often danker days, carrying a piece of selenite assists in attracting light energy and citrine keeps our inner sun shining, it radiates warmth whilst settling nervous tummies too.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]At the end of October we celebrate Halloween. The 31st marks the time when spirits are often closer to the living. It’s a good time to sage your space (or burn white sage incense), if you are attuned to Reiki you can draw the power symbol with the incense around your home or work space. This effectively protects the space and clears any residue negative energy, making way for the new energy of November.
So til then keep warm and spread your light!
Bright blessings

As we flow into September, with the nights drawing in, how many of you have found the last month chaotic? Personally I’ve found it extremely challenging spending two thirds of it in hospital unexpectedly! So I for one am hoping the universe has something better in store for September. Having enforced rest has given me plenty of time for reflection and introspection. I’ve spent plenty of time thinking could I have done anything differently to avoid the chaos this situation has created. Being confined to a bed has sorely tested my patience, as well as having to dig deep to find compassion for myself and those around me. So from this experience here are some tips for when things don’t go to plan:
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
1) Live in the Moment
However and whatever life throws at you, by staying present , you can remain calm and stress free. Which ultimately gives you the ability to act when required. I use an affirmation ” aah well everything is working out perfectly for the highest and best outcome”. By using the vibration of aah, it activates the heart chakra, enabling one to keep their heart open in difficult circumstances. The words attract something better.
2) Focus on Something Positive
Which makes one feel good. By turning our attention away from the issue that is causing the discomfort we help the energy flow, life is continually flowing.
3) Know Everything Happens for a Reason
By staying in the moment fully present the reason becomes clear; it could be that we’ve got ahead of ourselves and need to take stock or our underlying thoughts (the ones that create the frequency that attracts everything into our sphere are out of sync with our souls purpose). To check this see where your thoughts go when you’re alone and what you talk about most. I remember a close friend often used the statement ‘the trouble is’ when talking about her situations. This was bringing ‘trouble ‘ into all areas of her life!
4) Trust This Too Shall Pass
Nothing stays the same, just as in nature, it is constantly changing, out of chaos comes beauty.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
My tip for staying present is to focus fully. If you’re unable to retreat to your own space to collect yourself, try to focus on where you are and what you’re doing; if you’re walking think about your feet as they make contact with the surface beneath them, this helps ground us and keep us connected; if you’re eating focus on putting the food in your mouth, chewing, connecting fully with what you’re eating, the texture, the flavour. This works well for anyone wanting to lose weight, it slows down eating and allows our brain to tell us when we’re full and also what our body really wants to eat! If you’re unable to move connect with where you are, the textures, the sounds, the aromas.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”13406″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
If you find it difficult to stay present flower essences work well to settle our emotions and quiet the mind.
So enjoy the turning of the season and find your bliss wherever you are.
Bright blessings

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”August” color=”green” style=”dashed” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Hi hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather, being a June baby I love the summer months, the riot of colour nature provides. August is the beginning of the harvest and I’m hoping that as nature ripens fruit and grain that we all see a reflection of things coming to fruition in our own lives. I’ve found the abundance of colour useful as July was a tumultuous month. My little dog underwent surgery for a spinal injury and I’ve personally needed to ground and use the colours in the hedgerows as I drive to keep my chakras balanced . So this month I’d like to share a poem I wrote back in the late 1990’s. It may assist in heightening your awareness in how colours are helping to keep us balanced, or highlighting which chakra needs some energy.

Colour Healing
Here we go from top to toe
Purple for Princess the highest of all
This colour’s for spirit whenever we call
Indigo blue the colour of night
This is the one to help with our sight
The colour of sky on a summers day
This blue enchances all that we say
The green for our hearts is truly for love
For the growth of our souls and those above
The yellow is akin to that of the sun
It shows our feelings, the way it is one
Orange is vibrant and very much alive
This is the colour for which we all strive
Red is our base to somewhere we return
This space, is a haven from where we learn
So remember to live as we do on this earth
And balance your chakras for all that it’s worth!

There are some beautiful colourful mobiles and wall hangings in the shop. I have a chakra wall hanging which I have in the place I meditate; when I’m in that peaceful place some colours stand out more (even though they are all the same density of colour!) if some aren’t as clear, these are the ones that need attention. Our attention is often captured by colour, so having a greater awareness in how to use colour assists in our personal and spiritual growth.

How about you? I’d like to talk about synchronicity and coincidence this month. You may have read my past contributions and read that I’m a firm believer in the universe/nature sending us signs, signals and messages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]I’d like to share one of my recent experiences. I’m still on enforced rest and so I see clients at their request. Last week I took part in a crystal healing and whilst researching the relevance of Calcite, found a description that mentioned Brown Calcite. I’ve been working with crystals now for the last 20 years and had never come across this, so imagine when I visited the shop and headed to the crystal corner to see what treasures I can find. There was some Brown Calcite! I chose a piece to add to my healing collection and felt so much appreciation for the guidance I receive every day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_single_image image=”13245″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The pieces in the shop are quite unusual as Calcite mainly grows in masses (crystalline) or rhombohedral, scalenohedral or prismatic crystals. It is rarely striated as these pieces are and as such this adds to the properties of Brown Calcite. They have a very powerful vibration, the lines help the electrical flow of energy which aids in integrating all the higher energies which is happening this year (hence the topsy turvy weather and difficulties with balance and focus in ourselves and globally.) They are great at helping you realise your creative potential, harnessing positive intentions and moving into new circumstances, situations with ease. They assist in integrating the old with the new. Very powerful and if any of this resonates with you, then go get yourself a piece.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
So back to synchronicity, when we notice co-incidences, whether they be seeing the same people or a word, colour, flower, etc; hearing a piece of music, having a conversation, then hearing the topic again somewhere else, pay attention as this is the universe collaborating with you, sending you signs that you are in the flow, an affirmation to keep going. On that note I’ll leave you with one of my favourite affirmations, “Everything is always working out for me, I trust in the process of life.” Affirmations have a powerful vibration, as do our thoughts, so be kind to yourself and pay attention to the world around you and the guidance available . Enjoy a beautiful month.
